Project: Cloud File Transfer (CFT)

Part 1: Mandatory Requirements

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer  with experience in Vue.js, Laravel, AWS, GitLab, Golang,  and  Terraform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing,   and maintaining   web applications that  are  robust, scalable, and  user- friendly.

Key  responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain web applications using Vue.js and Laravel.
  2. Design and implement APIs and backend services using Golang.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  4. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  5. Manage and deploy applications on AWS.
  6. Use GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines
  7. Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  9. Stay  updated  with   emerging   technologies  and   apply   them    to   improve applications.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
  2. Strong proficiency in Vue.js and Laravel frameworks.
  3. Hands-on experience with Golang.
  4. Experience with AWS services (ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
  5. Proficient in GitLab for source control and CI/CD processes.
  6. Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  7. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
  8. Knowledge of database systems (PostgreSQL).
  9. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  10. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience with Docker and containerization.
  2. Familiarity with serverless architecture and AWS Lambda.
  3. Understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.

Part II: General Requirements

As a Software Engineer, you will get to:

  • Design, develop and deliver working software applications to delight customers
  • Improve software quality using XP practices such as code review and unit testing

  • Prepare architectural and other technical documents
  • Assist BA on user stories elaboration
  • Assist QA on test automation and bug fixes

Experience and Skill Needed

As a Software Engineer, you need to bring to the team:

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Experience with Continuous Integration (Bamboo/TeamCity)
  • Experience developing in Mac/Linux environment
  • Experience working in agile teams – TDD, Pair programming, Scrum, XP
  • Familiar with both Windows and UNIX/Linux servers
  • Familiar with Design Patterns
  • Familiar with Unit Testing
  • Good presentation and listening skills
  • Exposure to mobile application development will be an added advantage
  • Working experience in Agile and UX development environment will be an added advantage
  • Familiarize yourself with or have experiences in cloud technology such as AWS. Certification on cloud technology will have higher weightage

Experience in one or more of the following front-end technologies:

  • ReactJS
  • Typescript related and/or
  • Mobile app development such as Swift and Android

Experience in one or more of the following backend technologies:

  • RoR (Ruby on Rails)
  • Node.js
  • Java/Kotlin
  • Python and/or
  • Other relevant stack

Experience in one or more of the following processes and infrastructure knowledge:

  • Agile processes/practices (e.g. Scrum, Extreme Programming)
  • Continuous integration/continuous deployment
  • Cloud/PaaS platforms, such as AWS/GCP/Heroku
  • Serverless Framework
  • Docker/container technology
